North Fork, Little Laramie River 08/01/2006 Photo Album
Dan and I drove to Laramie and then west on 130 to the Medicine Bow National Forest. We fished the North Fork of the Little Laramie River, where I guided Dan and allowed him to enjoy most of the fishing. The stream was actually a poor choice, as it was extremely low and narrow with lots of brush to catch backcasts. In spite of these obstacles Dan caught six small brookies, and toward the end of the outing he encouraged me to fish, while he took photos. I caught six countable brookies that exceeded six inches, and each narrowly surpassed the required length.
We used a royal stimulator fly almost exclusively, and the fish did not seem to be very particular. At one point I added a beadhead pheasant tail and picked up a brookie on the nymph.
